Happy Friday,

This week, we have enjoyed making our own owls, where have been practicing our cutting skills.

In Maths, we have been able to match and sort different objects.

In RE, we began to explore who Christians believe God is.

 

 

Some great Home-learning this week:

 

 

This week your child will be sent home with the next set of sounds i,n,p,g,o

They have also been given a ‘wordless’ reading book- please encourage your child to retell the story to you.

Books will be changed on Wednesday – do feel free to read other books from home too.

RWI video– Please watch this video on how to say the sounds. As your child becomes able to blend. We will send home green words.

Can you go on a sound hunt. Can you find things beginning with p and g.  Can you take photos of all the things you find? you could even have a go at writing these letters.  Please upload any photos or writing onto Google Classroom.

Next week:

Tuesday: PE – please come to school in your PE kit.

Thursday: Please bring in food for Harvest.

Friday 17th September 2021

Hello and happy Friday,

This week has seen Sapphire Class becoming more involved in school life. We have begun joining the class for Act of Worship

( Assembly) We have been playing on the big playground and this week we began out Read Write Inc sessions. ( RWI)

In RWI we have learnt the sounds m,a,s,d and t. We will be coming home with the flashcards, please do practice these at home.  (Please ensure they are in school on Wednesday to ensure we can additional sounds/words)

 

Reading books will be changed on Wednesdays please do sign when they have shared their book with you.

We have begun working on our text ‘Owl Babies’, we have explored where the owls live and explored what it means by nocturnal.

 

You should have received an email with your Google Classroom Log in. This is where you can post your home-learning.

Can you go on a nature walk and make an owl using nature materials.

 

Next Week:

Please bring school book-bags daily.

Tuesday : Please come to school in PE kit.  (Black joggers, white t shirt and school jumper/cardigan)

Friday: Homework to be uploaded on Google Classroom by Friday 24th September.

Friday 10th September 2021

Hello and happy Friday.

 

The children have done so well this week. They have enjoyed having dinner, playing with the older children in the playground and even attending a Judo assembly.

This week the children have learnt about ‘Noah’. They have produced a piece of art and have done some great re-telling. We even learnt a new song ‘ two by two.

Reminders:

Please bring in a water bottle daily –please only water. (due to spillages)

Book Bags are to brought into school daily.

Reading books will be changed every Wednesday.

Please name all water bottles and coats.

Please can you bring a change of clothes and waterproofs to stay in school.  (plus wellies as the weather changes)

On Wednesday you are invited to a school exhibition to look at our work and ‘meet the teacher’ at 3pm or 5pm details are in the school newsletter.

 

To support our learning; please can you complete a ‘All about me’ sheet. (in book bags)  We will be discussing our families, feel free to send in any ‘family photos’ or  email if you prefer.

Friday 3rd September 2021

Hello and welcome to the class Blog.

We will post anything you need to know for the following week.

Next week all children are to arrive between 8:45 and 8:55 through the EYFS gate.

Pick up will be at 3:15 through the main school gates and collected from Sapphire Class door. 

Please send children into school with a water bottle and book bag and appropriate coat for the weather.

We are also asking for waterproofs, wellies and a change of clothes to be kept in school on your child’s peg.

 

We encourage all children to have a free school meal; this can be booked online. Information was sent to you by email. If you are unsure please speak to Mrs Massey.

 

The children have settled really well and Mrs. Smith looks forward to seeing them all on Monday
