Friday 28th January 2021

Happy Friday,

This week we have continued our story of the Blue Penguin. We have begun reading our story and exploring how the characters in the story feel. We have even had a go at some independent writing and making our own Blue Penguins.

In Maths, we have been exploring recognising the spots on a die. The children have enjoyed playing snakes and ladders and other board games.

We have explored how animals hibernate and began to look at making homes for those animals in the winter.

In RWI, we have continued to work in our new groups. Lots of us are now being introduced to set 2 sounds and these will start coming home in their flashcard wallets in the next few weeks. Here is a video to help with the pronunciation.

How to pronounce the sounds.

Please can we have a spare school uniform in a bag to be kept on their peg.

All children need a wetsuit and wellies to stay in school.

Book Bags are to brought into school daily.

If you have any OLD COUNTING GAMES , we would love any donations.

Also any donations of carrier bags would be appreciated.

This weeks task is to make a shape picture of a penguin. Can they name the shapes they have used?

This will be coming home in their Homework Folders. Please can they be returned by Friday 4th February.

Please practice their green/red words and sign when they have read, so books can be changed.

Have a lovely weekend.
