Hello and Happy Friday,

 

This week, we have enjoyed learning all about Chinese New year. We learnt all about the Zodiac, we tasted new foods, performed a dance and made a Rabbit to celebrate the year of the Rabbit.

In power of Reading, we have continued to learn about Blue Penguin and we have been asking questions and finding information about penguins. We have started to write our own zig zag books.

In Maths, we have explored ways to make 6,7 and 8 and have started to write number sentences.

In RE, we have concluded our unit of ‘ Why do Christians celebrate with a nativity play?’

Please read your RWI book or wordless book.

Please practice phonic cards.

Tasks have been set for this term, thank you for the emails and penguins sent in.

You may also like to spend 10 minutes on Maths Seeds.

 

Thursday – PE Kit to be worn to school.

Happy Friday,

This week, we have started to learn about Blue Penguin. We completed some role play and have wrote about how Blue Penguin feels.

 

In Maths, we have been exploring the ways to make 5.

In RE, we visited the church and found out about a Thanksgiving service.

In PE, we enjoyed some parachute games with Mrs Sellek

Home-learning tasks have been set for the term. Sheets in their books are to support the tasks set.

Please also spend some time on Maths seeds.

Please practice phonic sounds and read at home.

Can we ask you sign when you have read, so books can be changed.

Home Stars

Good evening,

We have sent home some ‘Home Stars’wow stars  for you to record any new achievements which you can share with us at school.

This could be, getting themselves dressed, self care, learning to ride a bike, or even recalling some facts.

 

I have uploaded a copy of the EYFS curriculum to support you.

Hello and Happy Friday,

The children have continued their work on The Blue Penguin.

We looked at writing words to describe a wintery scene. In Maths,we were looking at matching the numbers 1-5 to the matching numberblock.

In RE, we listened to the story Lost and Found and made a puppet to show how Jesus was feeling.

PE continued with Miss Bracken and learning new shapes in Gymnastics.

 

Homework has been set for the Half term.

Please also go and Mathseeds and please read 2-3 times a week. ( at least once their reading book)

Please sign the contact book, so books can be changed.

Please can we have donations of shoeboxes.

Hello and happy Friday,

 

We have had a busy few days getting back into a routine.

In Maths, we have been matching quantities to numerals and doing lots of subitising.

We enjoyed our first Gymnastics PE session with Miss Bracken.

We have begun a new story and have a focus of winter.

 

Please read at home and practice sound cards.

6 Homework tasks have been sent home in their books for the  term.

You may also spend 10 minutes on Maths seeds.

 

Bookbags in school daily

Please bring wellies and waterproofs into school if they went home at Christmas.

PE on Thursday.

If you have any small shoe boxes or glass jars we would appreciate this.
