Welcome to the end of term!

This week has been busy as ever! Lots of learning happening.

we began to work on shapes and showed our knowledge of 2D shapes.

We attended a Christingle  at the church, a lovely experience.

The children did great in the schools nativity and we are proud of them all.

Hello and Happy Friday,

What a busy week we have had.

This week, we concluded our text on the Train Ride and wrote our own verse.

In Maths, we have been working on our number recognition using numbers 1-5, and some of us challenging ourselves with larger numbers.

In RE, we have acted out the story of the  first Nativity. We have practiced our songs lots and performed 2 dress rehearsals this week; one to the ‘Living room’ community group and then to KS2.

There is no Home-learning this week, but they are welcome to go on Mathseeds and please do read.

In Read Write Inc, the children were assessed and have been re-grouped.  A sheet detailed their current group and target has been sent home in their contact book.

 

An oxford Owl log in is also in their contact book which gives access to Oxford reading books. if you wish to access more books.

 

Please do practice sound cards, we are working towards learning our set 1 special friends; sh,ch,th,ng and nk.

 

Monday – Nativity at 2pm – Christmas Jumpers can be worn under school uniform (including blazers)

Tuesday – Nativity at 9:30 am.  Pantomine PM – see email.   Full uniform

Wednesday – Christingle.  Christmas Jumpers can be worn under school uniform (including blazers)

Thursday- Christmas Jumpers can be worn under school uniform (including blazers)

Friday – Last Day of Term – Christmas Jumpers can be worn under school uniform (including blazers)

Hello and Happy Friday,

 

This week has seen the start of lots of Christmas celebrations.

 

In Maths, we have looked at the composition of numbers; looking at how 3+1 and 2+2 makes 4 as well as exploring the ways to make 5.

 

In RE, we looked at the visit from the 3 kings and we wrapped a present for Jesus.

 

 

We’ve enjoyed learning about maps and going lots of fun journeys.

A letter went home Today asking for Nativity clothing. Could you please send in a named bag, black or dark trousers and top. Please by Tuesday.

We will be performing to ‘The living room Community group’ as well as to the rest of the school.

Parents are invited on 12th and 13th December, pleaase see email.

NO Homework but you can go on Mathseeds and please do read.

Tuesday – Circle of Light with the prescohol. If you are able to, we are asking for new toy donations for The Salvation Army.
