Happy Friday,

We had a great time at the farm. Learning about lots of different animals. We enjoyed feeding the pigs , as well as enjoyed a play in the park.

 

 

This week we observed  some of the caterpillars turn into butterflies.

In maths, we explored subtraction and wrote our own number sentences.

Friday, was a great day of sports.  (Pics to follow)

 

Monday please come to school in PE kit.

Monday pm – West Kingsdown’s got Talent show.  ( parents of those participating are invited to attend.

Wednesday – shuffle up morning

 

Please make a butterfly using  any resources you have at home.

 

please spend 10 minutes on Mathseeds.

Happy Friday,

What a busy and fun week we have had.  Lots of excitement when our caterpillars turned into chrysalis. We enjoyed watching our caterpillars closely and doing some fantastic writing.

In Maths, we have been exploring the ways to make 10, learning lots of fun songs to go with it.

In RE, we learnt about the Islam religion and listening to a story.

We have particularly enjoyed playing outside, we have borrowed eight balance bikes from Sevenoaks School and have found we have some great riders. Some even taking the plunge and riding our 2-wheeled pedal bike. Lots of us challenging ourselves which is always great to see.

 

Please spend 10-15 minutes on Maths Seeds.

Please find some facts out about caterpillars and have a go at writing a sentence about what you have found out.

 

Monday – School Trip to Godstone Farm. Please bring a hat, apply sun lotion and lots of drinks. Please wear suitable footwear. ( No sandals)

Tuesday – Please come to school in PE kit.

Wednesday- Please come to school in PE Kit.

Friday – Sports day. Parents can attend from 12pm for the Family Picnic.  Please wear PE kit with plain House colour T shirt.

Hello and happy Friday,

We have completed our first week back and have been very busy.

We have  started a new Power of Reading text – What the Ladybird Heard?

We have been busy learning about the story and making our own maps and we discovered some yummy biscuit treats.

We have been writing some great sentences to describe the ladybird.

Mrs Sellek brought into school a special Minibeast, I wonder if your child can tell you what that was?

 

In Maths, we have been exploring the composition of numbers and making our own addition facts.

In RE, we have been learning stories from different faiths. This week, we have been learning about the story of Jonah.

In provision, we have enjoyed some good weather and lots of fun outdoors.

 

Monday- PE , please come to school in PE  kit.

 

The children are invited to audition for West Kingsdown’s Got Talent. If they would like to, do let one of us know.   This could be singing, dancing, comedy, magic etc.

Home-Learning has been posted above, we look forward to seeing some maps on Monday.
